Backend Engineer

Credify’s mission is to elevate trust and simplify user onboarding experiences in digital economies. Credify provides two B2B products to this end: Credify idX, a secure, completely user-controlled data passporting system built on blockchain technology, and Credify serviceX, a powerful data-driven service exchange built on idX where enterprises offer pre-approved services and deals to users from select partners within the ecosystem.

As we grow to achieve our mission, we are seeking backend engineers to join Credify’s team as a part of Credify’s development team in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The ideal candidate will have a strong fundamental grasp of computer science, an impressive technical foundation in software systems and architectures supporting complex products and a passion for working with start-up minded people, learning new technologies, and coding amazing solutions to hard problems.

We are looking for candidates who share our passion for tackling complexity head-on, in addition to helping the team deliver predictable, consistent program execution. This candidate should possess the capacity to think and work independently.

Our Technologies:

  • Modern backend technologies, such as Node.js (TypeScript), Golang, microservices, gRPC, and Kubernetes to realize scalable and stable cloud architectures.
  • Fully automated CI/CD process leveraging GitLab & Terraform.
  • Blockchain technologies (EOSIO and HyperLedger) using smart contracts (written in C++), and decentralized account mechanisms.
  • U-Prove, a cryptographic technique to securely deal with personal information.
  • AWS & GCP cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Systems-level engineering as a professional backend developer as a key contributor to the Vietnamese development team.
  • Ensure software development standards and practices are followed: full-coverage unit testing, solid Git flow, and agile/scrum development process.
  • Identify and address risks, resolve issues, and conflicts to ensure quality control throughout the project life cycle.
  • Develop software with elegant design patterns that put security at the forefront of considerations with every line of code and interface decision.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Experience at least 5 years as a backend engineer, especially in Banking, Financial, or FinTech industries. JavaScript, Java, or Golang preferred.
  • Solid foundation in computer science.
  • Deep understanding of microservice architecture and design.
  • Detail-oriented and able to understand the bigger picture by using your technical
    expertise and problem-solving abilities to prioritize and manage blocking issues.
  • Excellent written and oral professional communication and organizational skills, with
    the ability to influence stakeholders. English ability is preferred.
  • Ability to ramp up quickly and learn new technologies with minimal lag time.
